Itinerary
Visiting Niagara Falls is one of the top attractions in the world. What a shame to miss it! When traveling to New York, it's a good idea to include Niagara Falls as well.
Day 1:
NEW YORK – FINGER LAKES – NIAGARA FALLS
The tour departs from the Big Apple heading north, passing through the Delaware Water Gap toward Watkins Glen State Park, in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. Upon arrival, you'll walk through Watkins Glen Canyon to admire its beautiful waterfalls, then continue the journey toward Niagara, arriving in the late afternoon and passing by Seneca Lake (in the winter months, Montour Falls are visited instead, as Watkins Glen Park is not accessible). The tour continues on the American side of the falls, where you'll visit Goat Island and Luna Island (limited access in winter). In the evening, you can enjoy the stunning light and color displays of the falls on your own.
Overnight stay: USA, Comfort Inn the Pointe. Canada, Ramada by Wyndham
Day 2:
NIAGARA FALLS – NEW YORK
After leaving the hotel, you'll visit the falls once more up close, experiencing their thunder aboard the Maid of the Mist boat (from May to October). In winter through April, when the Maid of the Mist is not available, the falls are admired through the Cave of the Winds and the Power Vista hydroelectric station. Late in the morning, the journey toward the state of New York begins. After lunch, along the way and just a few hours from New York, there will be a stop for shopping at a mall where you can find products from famous brands at competitive prices. Arrival in New York City in the evening.
