Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tickets: Come Prepared

Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island tickets bought on our site guarantee your access to the ferries departing from Battery Park without the risk of finding them sold out, especially in the summer months when demand peaks and the lines at the ticket office stretch out already in the early hours of the morning. Among the tickets for New York attractions, this is one of the experiences that calls for the most careful planning: the ferry runs on fixed schedules and availability is limited.

Book Smart

Buying in advance means you can choose the departure time that best fits your schedule: the first ferry of the morning is usually the most rewarding, both for the quality of the light for photos and for the smaller crowds on the islands.

  • Access to Liberty Island and Ellis Island, ferry and audio guide included
  • Skip the ticket-office line and save your time
  • Enjoy New York seen from the water

What You'll See with Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tickets

The ferry leaves Battery Park and within minutes lets you look at Lower Manhattan from a perspective no observation deck could ever give you: the skyline pulling away, the green of the island drawing closer, and the copper shape of Lady Liberty growing with every meter crossed on the water.

With your Statue of Liberty tickets you'll have access to the island grounds and the base of the monument, where the exhibition panels tell the story of its construction, from the original design by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi to its inauguration in 1886. For those who want to set this visit within a fuller itinerary, the guided New York tours on our site offer different routes with unforgettable views.

Next, the ferry takes you to Ellis Island, where between 1892 and 1954 more than twelve million immigrants passed through the Great Hall to be granted or denied permission to enter the United States. The tickets include access to the National Museum of Immigration, spread across several floors of the original building: you can follow the path immigrants took on arrival, listen to authentic audio testimonies, and leaf through the historical registers that preserve the names of those who arrived on these waters with nothing but a suitcase and a hope.

The museum halls hold period photographs, personal belongings, documents, and reconstructions of the original spaces, with a care that makes visible what numbers alone cannot convey. Your ticket also gives you access to the building's outdoor terrace, where the view over New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline is among the most complete and least crowded in the entire metropolitan area.

What to Know Before You Book

The ticket requires a fixed date and time: if your chosen time is not available, we will assign you a slot close to your preference. In some cases the date may not be available, and in that case we will contact you to arrange an alternative.

With early-afternoon ferries the Ellis Island visit may not be included: to see both islands, set off in the morning.

Go to the boarding area, in the "Reserve Tickets" line, at your chosen time: after the checks you'll board the first available ferry. The time shown is not the ferry's departure but the moment you start the security checks. Ferries leave every 30 minutes, so if you miss one you'll take the next. Your chosen time is therefore indicative, and we'll send you the ticket with the slot closest to your preference.

Please be aware: as you approach the ferry entrance, you may find unauthorized vendors trying to stop you by claiming your tickets are not valid, to push you to buy theirs for a different ferry. Keep going with confidence, explaining that you already have your tickets.

Please Note

AFTER BOOKING, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC CONFIRMATION AND THE E-TICKET TO PRINT WITHIN 24H. Opening hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily (hours may vary on public holidays). Last ferry that reaches both islands at 1:00 PM; after that, ferries give access to a single island until 3:30 PM.
