Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tickets: Get Ready

What to See with Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Tickets
The ferry departs from Battery Park and in just a few minutes lets you see Lower Manhattan from a perspective that no observation deck can ever offer: the skyline fading into the distance, the green of the island getting closer, and the copper silhouette of Lady Liberty growing larger with every meter traveled across the water.
With tickets for the Statue of Liberty you will have access to the island gardens and the base of the monument, where the exhibition panels tell the story of its construction, from the original design by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi to its inauguration in 1886. If the monument interests you, we have gathered some interesting facts about the Statue of Liberty that you may not know.
For those who want to include this visit in a more complete itinerary, the organized New York tours in Italian available on the website offer different routes with unforgettable views.
Next, the ferry takes you to Ellis Island, where between 1892 and 1954 more than twelve million immigrants passed through the Great Hall to be granted or denied permission to enter the United States. The tickets include access to the National Museum of Immigration, spread across several floors of the original building: you can follow the path immigrants took upon arrival, listen to authentic audio testimonies, and browse historical records that preserve the names of those who arrived on these waters with nothing but a suitcase and hope. For the full history of the island and its museum, read our in-depth article on Ellis Island, the gateway to America.
The museum rooms preserve period photographs, personal objects, documents, and reconstructions of the original spaces with a level of care that makes visible what numbers alone cannot convey. The ticket also gives you access to the building’s outdoor terrace, from where the view over New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline is among the most complete and least crowded in the entire metropolitan area. What You Need to Know Before Booking
The ticket requires a fixed date and time: if your selected time is not available, we will assign a time close to your choice. In some cases, the date may not be available, and in that case you will be contacted to arrange an alternative.
With afternoon ferries, the visit to Ellis Island may not be included: to see both islands, depart in the morning.
Present yourself at the boarding area in the “Reserve Tickets” line at your selected time: after the security checks, you will board the first available ferry. The indicated time is not the ferry departure time, but the time when you begin the security screening. Ferries depart every 30 minutes, so if you miss one, you can take the next one. The selected time is therefore approximate, and we will send you the ticket with the time slot closest to your choice.
Warning: as you approach the ferry entrance, you may encounter unauthorized vendors who try to stop you by claiming your tickets are not valid, in order to pressure you into buying their tickets for a different ferry. Continue confidently and explain that you already have your tickets.

AFTER BOOKING, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC CONFIRMATION AND, WITHIN 24 HOURS, THE ELECTRONIC TICKET TO PRINT. Opening hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. every day (on holidays, hours may vary).
