There are people who arrive in New York and people who make an entrance. An airport limousine gets you out of the terminal with no taxi queue, with a private driver and a car that is already part of the holiday, from arrivals to your Manhattan hotel. The service starts at $390 for the outbound journey and $450 for the arrival, with room for 7 people and 7 bags. It covers JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, and it is the most theatrical of our travel services.

Below you will find what you need before booking: how pricing works in each direction, how meeting the driver works when parking is unavailable, what genuinely separates this from a standard transfer, and the details on capacity, car seats and surcharges.
How Much the Airport Limousine Transfer Costs
The fare depends on direction: $390 for the outbound run from your hotel to the airport and $450 for the arrival. The difference comes from the waiting time and flight tracking, which only apply to the inbound leg. The price covers the whole group of up to seven, so the cost per passenger drops considerably when five or six of you travel together.
Included are the limousine with private driver, hotel pickup and drop off in Manhattan, and the option to agree your route. Outside the price are the driver's gratuity, optional and left to you, and the extras: a car seat for children aged 0 to 4 at $35, the Newark surcharge at $30 per journey, and Meet and Greet assistance at $100.
Book the Smart Way
A limousine is not something you find waiting outside arrivals: it has to be reserved in advance, because the vehicle is assigned to your party for that time slot. In peak season, from December through the holidays, availability tightens weeks ahead. If you have a preference on colour or model, say so at booking by writing to info@ilmioviaggioanewyork.com: the car assigned is black or white depending on availability, but specific requests can be looked at. You also get support before and after purchase and a physical office a short walk from Times Square at 324 W 47th St.
How Meeting the Driver Works
One practical detail separates this from an ordinary transfer, and it is worth knowing before you land: a limousine cannot always park in the arrivals areas, which are sized for cars and vans. That is why the driver contacts you by phone or WhatsApp and you agree together on the exact spot to meet in the arrivals zone.
On timings the pattern matches the standard transfer: the driver reaches arrivals 40 minutes after landing, allowing time to disembark and clear checks, and from there waits ninety minutes free of charge. Beyond that, waiting costs $20 per 15 minutes, settled directly with the driver in cash or at our office. If you book the outbound journey, you are contacted to agree the hotel pickup: 4 hours before international flights, 3 hours before domestic ones.
Our tip
The route from the airport can be adjusted: ask your driver to take a bridge rather than a tunnel. From the Queensboro or the Brooklyn Bridge the skyline opens up across the windscreen, and your first impression of Manhattan is a completely different thing from emerging out of the Midtown Tunnel.
Limousine or Private Transfer: Which Makes Sense
Both options end up in the same place but answer different needs, and the capacity surprises people who expect the opposite.
The private airport transfer by car or van uses a car or van depending on your group and starts at $325: it is the roomier and cheaper service, the right one for large groups and anyone travelling with plenty of luggage.
The limousine stops at 7 people and 7 bags and costs more, because what you are buying is not only the transfer but the arrival itself: the interior, the agreed route, the photographs against the skyline. It makes sense for an anniversary, a honeymoon, a birthday, or simply to start the trip in a way you will remember.
