After eight hours in the air and a queue at immigration, the last thing you want is to negotiate with a taxi or hunt for the right shuttle. The service starts at $325 per journey for the whole group and covers JFK and LaGuardia into Manhattan. It is among the most requested of our travel services.

How Much the New York Airport Transfer Costs

The fare starts at $325 per journey and applies to the whole group rather than per person: that is the difference that matters against a shared shuttle, where every passenger pays for their seat. Split between four or six travellers the cost divides, and for larger parties the final bill often comes in below two taxis.

The price covers the private vehicle with driver, flight tracking and the ninety minutes of waiting after the driver arrives. Outside it are the gratuity, customary in the United States and left to you, and three optional items: a car seat for children aged 0 to 4 at $35, the Newark surcharge at $30 per journey, and Meet and Greet assistance at $180, with the driver waiting for you at the exit holding a sign.

Airport transfers are booked before you fly because the price is locked at purchase: at the airport, luggage in hand and tired from the flight, you negotiate badly and pay more. Booking ahead you provide your flight number and hotel address, and we handle the rest. How Meeting the Driver Works

This is where most questions come up, so the timings are worth stating precisely.

Your driver reaches arrivals 40 minutes after your flight lands, roughly the time it takes to disembark and clear border control. From that point they wait ninety minutes free of charge. If checks or baggage claim run longer, the extra waiting costs $20 per 15 minutes, settled directly with the driver in cash or at our office.

On arrival the driver phones you to agree exactly where to meet at the exit. That is why a working phone matters when you land, even just WhatsApp over airport wifi. If you cannot find the car, call our office during opening hours or the number on your voucher: do not take alternative transport before contacting us, because in that case no refund is possible.

Our tip

Sort out roaming or download an eSIM before you fly. Meeting the driver depends on a call or a message, and a phone with no connection right after landing is the single most common reason a booked transfer turns complicated.

Arrival or Departure Transfer

The service runs in both directions and you choose which at booking.

On arrival everything described above applies: driver at arrivals, flight tracking, waiting included. On departure the mechanism changes: you are contacted to agree the hotel pickup time, which is 4 hours before international flights and 3 hours before domestic ones. Those margins are calculated on real traffic towards New York's airports, where an incident on the Van Wyck Expressway can add forty minutes at any hour.

Private Transfer or Limousine: Which to Choose

These are two different products, and the choice is not only about budget.

The private transfer is the practical service: a reserved vehicle, car or van depending on your group, built to get you to your hotel the most direct way with the best balance of cost and capacity. It is the right call for large families, groups of friends and anyone travelling with plenty of luggage.

The airport limousine service with driver is an experience instead: it takes up to 7 people with 7 bags, costs more and turns the journey into part of the holiday. It makes sense for an anniversary, a honeymoon or an arrival you want to remember.
